How come it’s so hard for people to say zero?

What is the deal with people who say o (oh) when giving a phone number.
I work in a bank and if someone gave me a $1 for everytime I heard some replace zero with o (oh) when giving me an account number I would be stinkin rich!

I just don’t get it?

Why replace a number with a letter, it saves no time and it makes people sound like idiots.

Do these people have no education?

When ever I repeat the number back I always replace the o (oh) with 0 (zero), no one ever picks up on it though.

It’s something little I know, but when you hear it as many times as me in a day it gets on your nerves a little.

Let me know what irritates you.

Taken Out, what about Taken Off!

Could this possibly be the worst reality tv show ever created?
Channel 10 made a big decision this year by axing Big Brother, one of the big wigs from Channel 10 said it was good as it freed up funding to produce new fresh television shows.
Well I hope this guy has been shown the door.
Taken Out is the worst televison show I have ever sat through, I only sat through the first one because I was feeding my daughter in the lounge and the remote was too far away for me to grab.
I didn’t even need to burp my 7 month old daughter after she finished eating either, Taken Out solved that one for me.
It’s obvious that the show is taped all on the same day as all the girls are the same and are wearing the same thing each episode, yet the host James Kerley manages to show up each episode in a new wardrobe set.
By the way James is another host shown the cheque book by Channel 10 to lure him into hosting this crap when he could be spending more time making good with the Channel V hosting.
Just on a side note what is up with his air in the first episode, “Something about Mary” style?
How come Channel 10 can’t get some good free to air hosts? Why keep going to Channel V?
Come one Channel 10 get it together, you have money now the Big Brother has been canned. Spend it on something good like bringing back It’s a Knockout or something!

Girls that call guys mate - Is it cool?

Here in Australia we have a growing epidemic, women calling guys “Mate”
I don’t go for it, I admit I am someone who enjoys calling someone bud, buddy, chief, captain, dude and even mate, but for some reason I have a hard time being called “Mate” from a female.
I don’t know why?
I sometimes think is it because these women have infiltrated our terms of endearment? And by our I mean us guys, I don’t hear women calling other women mate, nor do I hear guys calling women mate?
Am I alone here?
What is seriously going on?
How do I approach the subject too by the way?
How can you tell a woman you prefer not to be called mate?
I mean they have said it because they are being friendly, I don’t have a problem with that.
It just sounds funny coming from a woman.
What if you tell a woman you don’t like to be called mate and then she hears a guy call you mate, what then?
What happened to the sweet names women call guys?
I know some of the older women I deal with call me things like Love or Lovey, I am cool with that, in fact I really like it, I just have trouble with mate.
Let me know what you think, let me know I am not alone.

So the web browser battle continues, something to make us think about what we would like to use to browse the internet, they all have some great features and I am sure Google Chrome will be no different, but which one is right for you?
How do you find out, do you even bother to find out?
Is it worth finding out?

I guess what it comes down to is finding out what suits you best before you start downloading and installing, check out some of the forums and posts and see what people are saying, see if people are noting problems, perhaps one might suit you more than the other, sure Microsoft Internet Explorer has a few problems, I mean sure which Microsoft product doesn’t?

Mozilla Firefox is new and a great browser to use, it’s easy to understand and the functionality is great. But does it suit you?

Google Chrome is going to be something new, I think there will be a rush for it and I am sure it won’t be long before people start commenting on it on forums and blogs, much like this one.
